Designed by architect J. Bertram King in 1956, this North Asheville residence was renovated and updated in 2013 to reflect its mid-century modern roots. Careful additions were made to the master bathroom and kitchen to create livable spaces based on contemporary expectations. The siding was replaced, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems were updated. New windows were replaced to reflect the Architect’s original drawings and the large expanses of glass bring the outside in. This renovation gave new life to one of Asheville’s mid-century modern treasures.
